Really loved listing to this. It was so singular and tightly focused that it felt like a long form journalism piece

Seriously love the short stories they make the world feel so fleshed out. This is one of my favorites too!

Yes! Though I like tragedy mill the most, this is a very, very close second. Either that or they’re tied

I liked this.

Gorsha's struggles during her dive and the knitting crab's struggles in covering the moon felt similar, like they're both fighting against a vastness beyond them, and even though Gorsha succeeds she pays for it greatly.

Definitely going to check out the full book.

Idk if you ever saw Ad Astra, but there is a short scene that inspired me and that I pictured when writing. Brad Pitt is pulling himself down a cable underwater on some alien planet

I really liked that movie, but it flew way under everyone’s radar it seemed. I even wrote up a “Themes of Ad Astra” post once upon a time and it got some traction on Medium.

The description beginning with, "Her ears feel like a wine skin left in the sun..." is really intense. Almost made me queasy to think about the pain of the experience.

You did great with this one.
